Mt. Calvary Church: Wineskin of True Worship
VISION: A People Who Carry the Presence
We believe God is calling us to be a people marked not by performance or tradition, but by His presence. As David established his kingdom not on Saul's strategies but on sacred worship, so we are creating space for God's presence to define everything we do.
WHY WE WORSHIP: The New Wineskin "No one puts new wine into old wineskins... but new wine must be put into fresh wineskins." (Luke 5:37-38)
The new wine of revival cannot be poured into systems of pride, performance, or passive religiosity. We are becoming a church that is:
OUR WINESKIN: Worship Culture Pillars
We don’t come to be entertained. We come to host the King.
COMMUNION: A Covenant Reminder
The cup we lift is not just juice; it is covenant wine. Worship costs something. And Christ’s blood was the ultimate outpouring—not just to save us, but to invite us to carry His presence rightly.
Every time we partake, we remember:
We will not rebuild Saul’s church. We will not be ruled by fear, applause, or familiarity. We are becoming worshipers in spirit and truth. We are a new wineskin. We will carry the presence. We will pay the cost. We will be His dwelling place.

The new wine of revival cannot be poured into systems of pride, performance, or passive religiosity. We are becoming a church that is:
- Led by the Spirit
- Anchored in holiness
- Fueled by intimacy
- Marked by reverence, joy, and surrender
OUR WINESKIN: Worship Culture Pillars
- Presence Over Performance
We value God's presence more than polished production. We will sing off key before we sing without heart. We will dance before the Lord, not for attention, but from adoration. - Posture Over Platform
Worship isn’t what happens on stage; it begins in the secret place. Every worship leader, usher, childcare worker, and parking lot greeter is a worshiper first. - Intimacy Over Intellect
We do not worship to impress. We worship to draw near. Head knowledge may inform, but heart connection transforms. - Reverence Over Routine
We will not treat the presence of God as common. We will carry the Ark with holiness, not convenience. Worship isn't a warmup; it is the altar. - Family as Sacred Space
Like Obed-Edom, we believe the presence belongs in our homes. We champion family worship—devotions, laughter, rest, sabbath, and training our children to prioritize God. - Congregational Fire
What we carry privately, we ignite corporately. We believe one person’s freedom in worship can release breakthrough for the person beside them. - Freedom with Order
David danced, but also blessed the people. We welcome expressive worship, but with clarity and unity that edifies the body.
We don’t come to be entertained. We come to host the King.
